Meet the hosts

Rachel Salaman
Rachel began her career as a broadcast journalist, reporting from the U.K. regions before producing and presenting a daily news show in London. She then spent eight years as a foreign correspondent and editor based in Mexico, Australia, the U.S., and Slovakia, before returning to the U.K. and setting up a podcast production company. She’s been producing Mind Tools’ Book Insights and Expert Interviews since their inception in 2006. She enjoys drawing, reading and writing for fun, and has an unpublished novel and unmade screenplay lying in a bottom drawer.
Jonathan Hancock
After 15 years as a BBC current-affairs presenter and producer, Jonathan spent a decade in education, progressing from classroom teacher to school leader. He’s passionate about all aspects of learning, but has a special interest in memory, having won two Guinness world records and the title of World Memory Champion. Jonathan has published 14 books on thinking and learning, designed training programs and competitions, and consulted for TV shows. He also loves staying physically fit by competing in running events – from 5K races to ultramarathons.
